The Graduate Certificate in Special Education is available online. Education graduate courses are offered as online, asynchronous courses in 8-week course sessions to offer a convenient, flexible opportunity for busy educators.

Courses offered in the Graduate Certificate in Special Education are foundational courses that support educators in their work with special needs students and can be applied to the required coursework if an educator seeks a special education teaching endorsement.  Additionally, courses offered in the Graduate Certificate in Special Education will apply to the Master of Education in Special Education required classes if educators decide to complete the master's degree.

The Graduate Certificate in Special Education allows opportunities for teachers to become better prepared in working with students with special needs and will serve to help districts as struggles continue with high needs in the special education workforce.
