When you apply now, you'll have a plan. It doesn't mean you have to attend MSU, it simply means you have a place to go. More importantly, you'll have taken the first step toward your career and a successful life on your own - even if you're not yet sure what you want that life to be.

At Mayville State University, we don't just generate graduates; we develop leaders - one person at a time. We engage students in the world around them and show them that they can make a difference. Then we teach them how.

We offer students small classes that make it easier to participate and be heard. We provide the latest technologies to ensure the most advanced educational environments. And, we connect you with professors who are actively involved in your learning and genuinely curious about what you might discover next.

Mayville State accepts applications throughout the year, but as we like to say:

Now is a good time, too.

See how easy it is to apply.

ACT/SAT test score requirement waived temporarily

March 19, 2020

The North Dakota University System has waived the ACT/SAT test score requirement for admission for those enrolling for the fall semester of 2020 as well as the summer session of 2020.

Why is this happening? This is a one-time waiver that is being implemented in light of ACT’s decision to reschedule its previously scheduled April 4 testing date to June 13 and the cancellation of the national SAT test on May 2. ACT and SAT have made these decisions in response to the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control with respect to the coronavirus pandemic.

What does this mean? If you intend to enroll at Mayville State University this fall or summer, you will not need to provide ACT or SAT scores as a requirement for admission. If you have already submitted your test scores, they will be used to help determine placement in math and English courses.

Why choose Mayville State? You're going to feel comfortable. You're going to have a voice. You're going to be able to advocate for your education. When you need resources, they're easier to find.
