Sam Satrom from Portland, N.D. is a freshman who is majoring in Agribusiness. He also plays baseball for the Comets. Sam chose Mayville State because it is close to home and he is able to continue his passion for playing baseball at a new level. Sam likes that Mayville State feels like a family. Because the campus is smaller, he gets to know professors and classmates on a personal level. Bob Miess is his Mayville State mentor. After earning his degree in Agribusiness, Sam plans to work on his family’s farm.
