Update to Employees from President Van Horn

As we navigate the ever-changing world of COVID-19, the only certainty is that there will be continued modifications to plans. We are doing our best to keep people informed of the latest. In light of yesterday’s positive case, I have had a few people asking for more detail. Unfortunately, confidentiality does not allow us to share detailed information. Click here to see a copy of the steps we will follow when positive cases are identified on campus.

Update to Faculty & Staff from President Van Horn

As I reported earlier today, a Mayville State employee has tested positive for COVID-19. I’ve received a couple of emails today requesting more specific information about the case. However, laws require confidentiality. When reporting a positive case, it is imperative that we release only general information, unless the person infected allows the release of his or her name and/or details. It will be our practice to let our employees know when there are positive cases, but the specific details will not be released under normal circumstances.

Library Re-Opening

After working remotely since March, the Byrnes-Quanbeck Library staff members are back on campus and the building is open. You might notice a few changes within the library building as some things have been moved around to encourage social distancing. Previously, there were five public access computers for anyone to use. Currently, there are three, but usage will be monitored and the other two will be set up if necessary.
