Homecoming 2020 Schedule Revised

Out of caution related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision has been made to the cancel indoor events. Outdoor events will continue as planned. See the revised schedule below.

Out of caution related to the coronavirus pandemic, the traditional homecoming banquets will not be held this year. Organizers hope to honor the individuals listed below at a face-to-face event on a future date to be determined, pending the global pandemic situation.

Ceremony of Remembrance at the Military Honor Garden

Noon, Edson and Margaret Larson Alumni and Leadership Center

Come and honor our alumni and friends who have served their country that we may live in freedom and that again there may be "peace on earth, good will toward men." The names of all who have been honored with plaques in the Military Honor Garden will be read.

Hall of Fame Teams on the 5s Reunion

12:30 p.m., "The Grove," NW of Jerome Berg Field

Several Athletic Hall of Fame teams are marking anniversaries in five-year increments in 2020. They include the 1940, 1965, and 1990 football teams, the 1970 and 1990 baseball teams, and the 1995 men's basketball team. All members of these teams are invited to gather at "The Grove" tailgating area located northwest of Jerome Berg Field for a time to reconnect and reminisce.

CANCELED - First State Bank Pre-Game Food

Due to predicted inclement weather, the pre-game food event has been canceled.

12:30 to 2 p.m., just outside of Jerome Berg Field

The folks with First State Bank will be cooking up hot dogs and burgers. Freewill donations will be used to support Mayville State's student athletes through the work of the Comet Athletic Club. Everyone is welcome! Many thanks to First State Bank for their generosity.

CANCELED - Farmers Bowl/Homecoming Silent Auction

Due to predicted inclement weather, the Silent Auction has been canceled.

12:30 p.m., just outside the main entrance to Jerome Berg Field

Weather-permitting, the Farmers Bowl Silent Auction which had been scheduled for Sept. 26, will be held as part of the Homecoming 2020 festivities. Biding will open at 12:30 p.m. and close at the conclusion of half time of the football game. See a preliminary list of items to be auctioned and photos.

 Sunday, October 18

Homecoming Concert 

1 p.m., Concert Band live stream

3 p.m., Concert Choir live stream

The concert will be by invitation only to two family members per students, with masks required and social distancing guidelines followed. Plans are to record the concert and make a link available at a later time for all who wish to enjoy the concert.
