Hanna Kaster

Hanna KasterHi, my name is Hanna Kaster and I am a counselor here at Mayville State University. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Minnesota State University - Moorhead in both Psychology and Criminal Justice. I went on to receive my Master’s Degree from the University of North Dakota in Community and Mental Health Counseling. Prior to working with Mayville State I spent a year working with North Dakota State University in their Counseling Center as a student clinician, where I co-lead an Equine Assisted Therapy Group, conducted individual therapy, provided crisis services, and partook in outreach programs.

My professional interests include working with individuals struggling with disenfranchised grief, interpersonal family trauma, anxiety, depression, as well as animal assisted interventions.  Personally, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our various animal companions. I am originally from rural Northwest Minnesota and am grateful to be part of a small rural community once again.
