The Comet Athletic Club board met on Monday, January 11, 2021. After a lengthy discussion regarding how to meet safety protocols set by campus and state guidelines, limiting participants and spectators, and other factors such as student athlete schedules, space, and time, a decision was made.
The Comet Athletic Club 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will not be held in Spring 2021.
This is not an easy decision for the board. However, in light of COVID-19 continuing to affect so many, we feel it is in the best interest of all who may participate in some fashion to not gather for the event. The health and well-being for the participants, their family and friends, student athletes, and friends of Mayville State is more important when considering the risks involved.
