Taylor Simon, Mayville State University Assistant Professor of Mathematics, has been selected president-elect of the North Dakota Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Her role as president of the organization will begin in June of 2027.
Established in 1966, the North Dakota Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NDCTM) is a partner affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. NDCTM is a professional organization dedicated to supporting mathematics educators across the state.
The organization works continuously to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics from elementary through post-secondary levels. A primary goal of the council is to provide vital forums for professional development, networking, and the exchange of pedagogical ideas.
NDCTM members include elementary, secondary, and post-secondary classroom teachers. Current membership is about 350.
