Open House Days a great time to check out Mayville State University

All who may be interested in pursuing the educational opportunities at Mayville State University are invited to join us on Thursday, Oct. 18 or Friday, Oct. 19 for our Open House Days. Since school is not in session because of state educational conference for teachers of K-12 in North Dakota and Minnesota, this will be a perfect time to see what Mayville State has to offer. There are a number of activities planned that will provide information for anyone considering Mayville State as a possible college home.

The schedule for each day will begin with a campus tour starting from the Campus Center Foyer at 11 a.m. All who attend will be treated to lunch in the MSU cafeteria at noon. After lunch, a variety of speakers will be sharing information of interest to prospective students in the Luckasen Room. Starting at 2 p.m., individuals will have an opportunity to visit with faculty who represent all Mayville State divisions and also with coaches.

This will be a great opportunity for prospective students and their families to come to campus and see all that Mayville State has to offer at an outstanding value. We’re looking forward to having folks on campus and giving them a feel for what Mayville State is all about. As an added bonus, Mayville State will be waiving the application fee for those who apply for admission between Oct. 19 and Oct. 31.

Do you know someone who would benefit from a Mayville State University education? Please let them know about Open House Days 2018 and encourage them to check it out.

On another topic, we had the great honor of hosting North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and Lt. Governor Brent Sanford at Mayville State Tuesday, Oct. 9. This was Governor Burgum’s first official visit to Mayville State. We are fortunate to have a governor who understands rural America and who is interested in learning more about Mayville State University and higher education in our state. We enjoyed the opportunity to have a chance to visit, show him around campus, and to introduce him to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members.
