The Mayville State University Music Department has a holiday concert planned for Sunday, Dec. 11. It will begin at 4 p.m. in the MSU Classroom Building Auditorium. The university choir and band will each perform holiday pieces, followed by a time of “Christmas caroling” that will include any musicians who would like to participate. Those who play an instrument or sing are encouraged to join in and add to the holiday cheer.
“Christmas carolers” will be asked to participate in a rehearsal planned for Saturday, Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. in the MSU Classroom Building Auditorium. Those who are interested are invited to join in additional rehearsals for band members on Dec. 5 and Dec. 7 at noon. This are optional, however.
If you are interested in participating, even if you’re on the fence, please indicate your interest by contacting Dr. Byron Ward at byron.ward@mayvillestate.edu. Include your name, your instrument/voice type, and your connection to Mayville State (faculty, staff, student, alumnus, community member, etc.) If you don’t have your own instrument, there may be university instruments available to use.
There is no admission charge for the concert on Sunday, Dec. 11. All are welcome.
