McGwire Phillips, Melba, Idaho, was the winner of Mayville State’s July Golden Ticket. Phillips will enroll at Mayville State University this fall as a freshman majoring in business administration. Winning the Golden Ticket means that his tuition for this fall will be discounted by 50%. In addition, since he visited the campus in July, he will receive a $250 housing credit and a $100 textbook bundle from the MSU Bookstore to be used this fall.

These special incentives were offered as a part of “Mayville State Mania.” In the promotion, which ran during the months of March through July, the $35 application fee was also waived. The names of all who visited Mayville State during those months, either in person or online, were entered into a drawing for MSU’s Golden Ticket - 50% off tuition for the Fall Semester of 2017. Other Golden Ticket winners were Daniell Rader, Webster, N.D.; Ashlee Wooten, Fargo, N.D.; Tristian Morowski, Portland, N.D.; and Carrie Bartz, Anamoose, N.D.
