Sept. 23, 2020

Out of an abundance of caution related to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayville State University officials have decided to postpone the Saturday, Sept. 26 home football game versus Dakota State. The game will be played at Jerome Berg Field in Mayville on a November date to be determined.

The annual community Farmers Bowl festivities which were also planned for Sept. 26 are canceled. Those activities include a parade, corn on the cob and hot dog feed, and silent auction. The Comet Athletic Club Sportsmen’s Raffle will be broadcast live on Facebook beginning at 7 p.m. There will be no in-person raffle event.

“Our top priority is keeping our campus safe and healthy so that we can honor our commitment to academics and continue with in-person course delivery at Mayville State,” said Mayville State President Dr. Brian Van Horn. “We definitely are not in a crisis situation, but we are proceeding with extreme caution in following proper protocols.”
