An anonymous Mayville State University donor has come forward for a fourth time and is issuing a challenge to all Mayville State alumni and friends. The donor will match dollar-for-dollar all gifts made to support Mayville State Football, up to a total of $20,000. Gifts must be received in the MSU Foundation by Nov. 12, 2022. All funds received will assist the Mayville State University football program through the work of the White Hat Club.
The challenge was announced Saturday, Aug. 13, at the annual White Hat Club Golf Tournament. The match challenge ends on Nov. 12, 2022, the date of the last scheduled Comets Football game for the 2022 season.
“This influx of funding will have a big impact in our efforts to build the Mayville State football program,” said Mayville State University Head Football Coach Rocky Larson. “We sincerely appreciate the thoughtfulness and generosity of the anonymous donor who has issued this challenge.”
