Future students are invited to stop by our Enrollment Center located in Old Main 107 and our staff will help them get off to a great start as Mayville State students!

While on campus, new students may sign up for prizes and get a special gift bag. Our helpful staff members in the Advising Center, Financial Aid, Admissions, Housing, and other offices throughout campus are ready to help. Those who plan to visit are asked to email masuadvising@mayvillestate.edu.

Those who aren’t able to come to campus are invited to contact one of our enrollment specialists who will personally assist them with everything they need to get set for success. In addition, campus tours and enrollment visits are available in-person or virtually Monday through Friday.

Just this week, I learned of a great Mayville State student success story that speaks to the fact that it’s just fine to make a last-minute decision to enroll at Mayville State, thrive as a student, graduate, and get a great job that is helping to meet the demand for teachers in North Dakota.

In the summer of 2018, Kayla Ostlie from Northwood, N.D. was all set to enroll as a freshman at another university. During the summer, she had a change of heart and decided to make Mayville State her college home. Mayville State faculty and staff worked with Kayla to get her ready to go for the Fall Semester of 2018. It was my honor to shake Kayla’s hand as she crossed the stage to receive her diploma on commencement day this past May. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a major in composite social science education and a minor in coaching, and she graduated with magna cum laude honors.

Kayla has recently been hired to teach social studies and coach at Langdon (N.D.) Public Schools this fall. We are Comet Proud of Kayla Ostlie, and we are delighted that she will be using the education she earned at Mayville State University to serve the community of Langdon and its young people. It is Mayville State’s honor to help meet the need for teachers in North Dakota with outstanding graduates like Kayla.
