To add a festive flair to the Mayville State University Campus Center Foyer, members of the MSU Staff Senate volunteered to decorate an evergreen tree for the enjoyment of all. The tree is adorned in Comet colors and now greets all who enter the foyer from the west.
The fresh-cut tree was donated by Mayville State alumni and retirees Dr. Merwin and Myrna Lyng of Mayville. Mayville State facilities services staff members Bob Kozojed, Brad Papenfuss, John Peterson, and Gary Stordahl went to the Lyng ranch outside of Mayville, cut down the tree, brought it to campus, and set it up in the Campus Center Foyer.
“We appreciate the team effort that went into creating a festive atmosphere at Mayville State during this holiday season,” said Mayville State Director of Marketing and Public Relations Beth Swenson. “The Lyngs have graciously donated an evergreen tree for this purpose for many years and we are grateful for their thoughtfulness and generosity.”
