Doug Anderson will be the featured artist during Mayville State University’s 125th Anniversary Homecoming festivities October 3 through 5. The Northern Lights Arts Gallery is sponsoring the exhibit of Anderson’s work, which will include 40 pieces created in pencil, watercolor, colored pencil, scratch board, and ink. Subjects range from Mayville State campus scenes, still life, urban drawings, florals, historical, and people.

The public is invited to meet and visit with the artist during an open house reception on Friday, October 3, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The reception will be held in the MSU Campus Center Heritage Room. The exhibit will be on display in the Mayville State Levon West Gallery through the month of October. The Levon West Gallery is located at the west end of the MSU Classroom Building and is accessible during regular business hours.

Doug Anderson is a 1974 graduate of Mayville State University. He has taught art at Cavalier (N.D.) High School for the past 41 years.
