Members of the Mayville-Portland and Traill County communities are invited to attend a meeting on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. to learn more about festivities planned in conjunction with the Shrine Bowl All Star Games that will be held at Mayville State University June 18, 2022. The informational meeting will be held at the Edson and Margaret Larson Alumni and Leadership Center on the campus of Mayville State University. If your organization or business would like to get involved, this will be a great time to get the details. Refreshments will be provided.

Mayville State has hosted the training camp for Shrine Bowl players and coaches for many years and has been selected to serve as the host site for the games and banquet in 2022. This is an opportunity to showcase Mayville State and the greater communities of Mayville-Portland and Traill County.

The Saturday, June 18 activities will begin with a parade of Shrine units through downtown Mayville at 9:30 a.m. The Shrine banquet for players and their guests begins at 10:30 a.m. at the MSU Lewy Lee Fieldhouse. Games are at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. at Jerome Berg Field. A predicted 3,000 fans will attend the games.

“With this many fans coming to town, we want to roll out the red carpet for all,” said Lon Jorgensen, MSU Foundation Executive Director and coordinator of Mayville State’s Shrine Bowl plans. “At Jerome Berg Field, we’ll have live music, bounce houses for the kids, food trucks, and more. The goal is to provide a collegiate-feel atmosphere for players and fans alike. Please join us on April 4 to discuss how you can enhance the time spent by fans and players while in our great communities.”
