Since the baseball team would be on their way to Kentucky for the NAIA National Baseball Championship Opening Round on Saturday morning, May 15, which was also Mayville State's commencement day, a special commemorative graduation ceremony was held for the team's graduating seniors. The event was held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 14 at Mayville State's Scott Berry Field.
Comets Connor DiNaro, Kenneth Stewart, Theo May, and Michael Theisen were recognized for earning their degrees.
Graduates' families had traveled from a distance to participate in the May 15 Mayville State commencement festivities. The Friday evening program served as an alternate celebration, since their graduates of honor were traveling to Kentucky and couldn't participate on May 15.
