Our faculty and staff are the heart and soul of the Mayville State University Experience for students. No matter their position or job description, each employee plays a very important role in the success of the university, and ultimately the success of our students. Our employees provide mentorship across the board. Whether a person is a professor, a clerk in the business office, or a custodian, their daily interactions make a big impression on students.
Mayville State University alumnus and legendary Comets baseball coach Scott Berry will deliver the annual commencement address at Mayville State University Saturday, May 11. The commencement ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. at the Mayville State University Lewy Lee Fieldhouse. The ceremony is open to the public.
Twenty-two Mayville State University Collegiate DECA student members participated in the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Austin, Texas from April 20-24, 2024. The annual conference provides the opportunity for students to compete against others from all over the world in business-specific events. MSU students had to qualify for the Austin conference at the state competition held in Fargo, N.D. this past February.
Mayville State University students George Davisson and Chloe Jacobson have received ND EPSCoR ND-ACES Distributed Research Experience for Undergraduates (dREU) Program awards for the summer of 2024. George is a junior from Concord, Calif. Chloe is a sophomore from Pisek, N.D.
Mayville State University Associate Professor of Biology Dr. Joseph Mehus and his team of student mosquito researchers will lead a series of sessions on topics of science and nature at the Mayville Public Library this summer. Kids are invited to join in discussions about food chains and food webs. There will be an adventure, including a book reading, every-other week, June 3 through July 29. The Mayville Public Library is located at 52 Center Ave. N, Mayville.
Mayville State’s 2024 Commencement Day will be here very soon. On Saturday, May 11, we’ll be celebrating a huge milestone in the lives of many students who have become treasured members of the Mayville State family. It will be a great day shared with the graduates, their family members, and friends.
