There’s still time to enroll at Mayville State for the fall semester!

The summer days are passing quickly, and we are busy preparing for an exciting fall semester. Mayville State offers valuable opportunities and options for individuals who wish to engage in higher education as they pursue their career goals and aspirations. There is still time to enroll in the fall semester! Classes begin at 4 p.m. on Aug. 25.

Mayville State University offers top-quality education, legendary personal service, and much more for an outstanding value. The cost to attend Mayville State University is very affordable. Financial aid is available, along with great opportunities to earn scholarships. At Mayville State, students may pursue a wide range of interesting and valuable academic offerings, and they receive the attention and direction they expect and deserve from their instructors.

Student success is the number one priority at Mayville State. On-campus and online students alike will find helpful and supportive faculty and staff who are willing and able to help. Academic and student support services are available to all students.

Mayville State offers 80+ majors, minors, and program opportunities. Students may explore opportunities in nursing, agribusiness, criminal justice, allied health, accounting, teacher education, biology, and more. Whether a student wishes to pursue a career as an educator or medical professional, or is interested in a wide variety of other career paths, Mayville State has exciting degree programs.

Students who choose to enroll online may do so as non-degree-seekers or they may pursue degree programs. Innovative online RN-to-BSN and Master of Science in Nursing programs feature flexibility to accommodate working nurses who wish to further their education. Graduate degree opportunities, including the Master of Arts in Teaching and a Master of Education degree program, are available for those wishing to further a career in teaching.

We often find that members of the same family choose to attend Mayville State University because of a shared sense of tradition, positive experiences from older relatives, and a strong emotional connection to the institution. The decision can be influenced by family values, legacy status, familiarity with the campus and community, and a desire to continue a meaningful family legacy. It often creates a sense of pride and belonging that spans generations.

In that same spirit, the Dukart family from Killdeer, N.D. gives a resounding endorsement for the Mayville State experience. Four of the Dukart brothers have chosen to enroll in the university over the last several years. Phil, David, and Cole have graduated and are pursuing successful careers in North Dakota, while their youngest brother, Joseph, will enroll at Mayville State this fall.

Each of the older brothers earned degrees in business administration and accounting. They all participated in Collegiate DECA and played football for the Comets. Phil returned home to work on the family’s ranch, and he co-owns the family roofing company. David also works with the roofing company and is an ag loan officer with First International Bank & Trust. Cole lives with his wife and daughter in Hillsboro, N.D. He is working as a credit officer for AgCountry Farm Credit Services in Fargo.

Joseph plans to follow in the footsteps of his brothers and pursue a degree in business. He also plans to play football for the Comets.

Success stories like these make me extremely Comet Proud, not only of the former students who are impacting the workforce of our state and making a positive difference in the world, but also of the university, its faculty and staff, who are providing outstanding educational opportunities as well as extraordinary personal service. This story also shows how Mayville State impacts not only the eastern, but also the western side of the state. These are the things that fill my cup. I am grateful.
