Mayville State University will launch a new Master of Science in Leadership degree program in the Fall 2026 semester. The public is invited to learn more about this opportunity during an open house on Thursday, April 16, at the Byrnes-Quanbeck Library at Mayville State University.
The open house will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with half-hour informational sessions led by program coordinator Cheryl Duvall at 9:30 a.m., noon, and 5:15 p.m. Guests are welcome to come and go as their schedules allow. Those who are unable to attend a scheduled session are encouraged to stop by throughout the day for one-on-one conversations.
The 36-credit hour M.S. in Leadership is a fully online program for working professionals who want flexibility without sacrificing connection and support. Students can learn anytime, anywhere, while benefiting from a cohort-based model that begins each fall and spring semester. The applied nature of the program allows students to develop a personal leadership philosophy and framework while creating measurable, real-world impact. Scholarships are available.
“Students can expect to graduate in as little as two years,” said Duvall. “They’ll have the opportunity to develop their own leadership brand and make a meaningful impact through a project that matters to them personally. This program goes beyond coursework. It’s about digging deep and discovering a personal leadership style. Students who have a community or workplace project they’ve always wanted to lead can integrate that work into their educational journey. In the M.S. in Leadership program, students don’t just learn theory. They apply it.”
