Mayville State University alumnus and legendary Comets baseball coach Scott Berry delivered the annual commencement address at Mayville State University Saturday, May 11. The Lewy Lee Fieldhouse was filled with graduates, faculty, staff, alumni, and family members and friends of the graduates who gathered to take part in the festivities and wish Mayville State's newest alumni well as they finish one chapter and move on to another in their journey in life.
Members of the graduating class, Marisa Ostendorf, Edgeley, N.D., and Thyra Peterick, Hatton, N.D., spoke on behalf of the class. Board member Curtis Biller brought greetings on behalf of the State Board of Higher Education.
Graduation day began with the traditional graduation brunch, hosted by the MSU Alumni Association. Graduates Taylor Dean from Stanley, N.D., Brennen Beaudin from Northwood, N.D., and Tangella Jenson from Foley, Minn. spoke on behalf of the MSU Class of 2024.
