Why did you choose to attend Mayville State University?
I chose Mayville because of the education program and also to play softball.

What do you like best about the major you’re pursuing?
I can show up to class and play all day!

What do you like best about Mayville State in general?
It’s a small community so it makes my education really personal. All of the teachers, coaches, and staff know and care how you are doing in class.

Do you participate in any activities related to your major/minor? Internships? Work Study? Other?
I am a Comet softball player so that really helps with my coaching minor.

Have you had any unique opportunities, in or out of the classroom, while you’ve been enrolled at Mayville State?
Just recently I have was able to attend The Feast of Nations in Grand Forks because one of my classes offered free tickets. I will also be able to observe many different types of classrooms throughout North Dakota with some of my classes in the education program.

What MSU clubs, organizations, or athletic activities do you participate in?
I play softball here so that does take up a lot of my free time, but when I get a chance I like to attend Campus Crusade (CRU) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meeting.

How have these activities enhanced your college experience?
I like these activities because it gives me a chance to meet people I otherwise wouldn’t meet just going to class. We always do fun activities and games at the meetings and really learn a lot about others and ourselves.

What has been your greatest moment as a Mayville State student?
Being in the Mayville’s Farmers Bowl parade!

What does personal service mean to you?
It means devoting some of my time to help others. Whether that be mowing a lawn or volunteering time to coach t-ball.

What are your plans after graduating from Mayville State?
After Mayville I plan on going back to my home area to teach there. It would be awesome if I could get a basketball coaching gig too!
