Why did you choose to attend Mayville State University?
The small class sizes appealed to me because it allows for stronger teacher-student relationships. Tuition is low, and Mayville State offered the opportunity for me to further my basketball career.

What do you like best about the major you’re pursuing?
The professors are all so knowledgeable, yet all have their own distinct teaching methods. There is such an array of learning.

What do you like best about Mayville State in general?
With the small student population, everyone seems to know everyone, making classes more interactive and enjoyable, and as a basketball player, making the support at our games more personal and meaningful.

Do you participate in any activities related to your major/minor? Internships? Work Study? Other?
I work with my church’s youth group, giving me experience working with teenagers that I will be helpful as a teacher with my own classroom.

Have you had any unique opportunities, in or out of the classroom, while you’ve been enrolled at Mayville State?
Being a part of the best women’s basketball team in school history.

What MSU clubs, organizations, or athletic activities do you participate in?
Basketball, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Campus Crusade.

How have these activities enhanced your college experience?
I’ve developed relationships with my closest friends through these activities.

What has been your greatest moment as a Mayville State student?
Seeing the stands completely packed with support from my fellow students, the MSU faculty, and the May-Port community the night of the NSAA conference championship.

What does personal service mean to you?
At MSU, personal service is getting the one-on-one attention and help from whomever I need it, whether it be a teacher, tutor, someone in an office, or a fellow classmate.

What are your plans after graduating from Mayville State?
I plan to stay in North Dakota and teach high school social studies while coaching cross country, basketball, and/or track.
