Checklist

Use this basic checklist to make sure you have read through all the relevant materials, submitted the right forms, and are logged in and ready for the semester to begin! If you have any questions on getting started, please feel free to contact the Mayville State Office of Extended Learning.

Degree Seeking Students

Continue to work with your advisor to process any course substitutions, if appropriate, for your program of study. Please review the Distance Student Handbook and “How Do I” handout for further information on getting started as a Mayville State online/distance student.

Give your Mayville State email and Moodle access a test run beginning Monday, May 19, 2014, and prior to the start of classes. Moodle is Mayville State’s course management system, and where you will find the materials for your classes.  1st 4 week, and 6, 8 and 10 Week Sessions classes will be listed and available in Moodle beginning Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. (Central).  If you have a problem accessing your courses after these dates or have any other technical questions, please contact the Mayville State University Office of Instructional Technology at 1-800-437-4104, ext. 34645.

Please also take some time to practice Moodle and learn about being a Mayville State University Distance Student in the Distance Student Orientation course located within Moodle (MASU DSO--Distance Student Orientation).  This optional orientation is also available beginning Monday, May 19, and will appear in your list of Moodle courses.  It is not required and there is no cost associated with the Distance Student Orientation.  However, I encourage you to take some time to work through the orientation.
