Micah Smith, one of four finalists for the position of head football coach at Mayville State University, has withdrawn from the search process. Smith was scheduled for a campus visit day on Wednesday, Jan. 29. There will not be a public presentation on Jan. 29 as announced earlier this week.
Micah Smith has been the offensive coordinator and interim head coach for Mayville State Football. He has accepted the offensive coordinator position at his alma mater, Chadron State University, where he played as a wide receiver.
“We thank Coach Smith for his time at Mayville State,” said Mayville State Athletic Director Ryan Hall. “We wish Micah and his family all the best in their future endeavors.”
