With the health and well-being of students, faculty, and staff as top priorities, Mayville State University will extend its decision to move to online and distance class instruction through the end of the spring semester of 2020. This is being done in an effort to help limit the COVID-19 (coronavirus) risk on campus and to comply with guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control.

The university had previously planned to implement remote instruction for the two-week period following spring break, March 23 through April 5. Rapidly evolving developments with the coronavirus pandemic have initiated this re-evaluation and subsequent modification of the original plan.

The Mayville State University campus remains open and facilities continue to operate. Many faculty and staff are working remotely and practicing social distancing. The university continues to fulfill its mission by ensuring students are able to meet their educational requirements and faculty are able to continue their research and scholarship.
