Thanks to the generosity of several sponsors, the energetic and exciting Midwest Dueling Pianos entertainers will return to Mayville State University for the Glitz & Glama Gala on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020! The event will center around a Las Vegas-style theme, and is being held to benefit Mayville State University and its students. There will be a time of socializing from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner. A live auction featuring three prize packages will start at 7:30 p.m. The excitement of the Dueling Pianos show will begin at 8 p.m.

Larry and Cathy Lande of Greeley, Colo., Terry Bachmeier of Mesa, Ariz., Steve and Linda Hilstad of Mayville, N.D., Bremer Bank, and Steele Traill County Mutual Insurance have very kindly stepped up to support the appearance of Dueling Pianos at Mayville State. Thanks to their financial contributions, the benefit of the Glitz & Glam Gala event to Mayville State University and its students will be even greater.

“We are so very grateful for our sponsors and their substantial support for Mayville State University,” said Beth Swenson, interim executive director of the MSU Foundation. “Mayville State University is blessed to have thoughtful and generous supporters who very freely give of their resources for the benefit of our university. They are having a big impact in the university’s efforts to make a positive difference in our local area, as well as in the state and beyond.”

A number of area businesses have also stepped up as table sponsors. They are Citizens State Bank of Finley, Cooperstown, and Northwood; Nilson-Brand Law of Mayville; Thrivent/Harware Hank, Tim and Sue Strand and Jeremy Strand, Mayville; and Sanford Health.

Altru Health System, based in Grand Forks, is the signature sponsor of the Glitz & Glam Gala 2020.

Three fabulous prize packages will be sold on the live auction block. These packages include two tickets to a 2020 Minnesota Vikings game at U.S. Bank Stadium and a two-night motel stay donated by Shannon and Denise Bergstrom and Brett and Laura Brudvik. The MSU Alumni Association board is offering one of their fabulous theme dinner parties at the Larson Alumni and Leadership Center. The party will have a Mardi Gras theme. The final prize package will be a trip to Las Vegas, which will include airfare and a motel stay at Caesar’s Palace.

Tickets for the Glitz & Glam Gala sell for $75 each, and tables of 8 and 12 are available. All proceeds from this event will benefit Comet Athletics, the MSU Alumni Association, and the MSU Foundation to support students through their work to raise scholarship dollars.
