Alan Dosmann, a 1987 graduate of Mayville State University, was among 500 Arizona teachers who received a $2,500 grant through the Palo Verde Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers program. Awards were presented at the 2023 Draft Day festivities presented by SRP.

Dosmann is a physical education teacher at Sirrine Montessori Center in Chandler, Ariz. He will use the grant funding to purchase equipment for the recreation room at the school.

The Palo Verde Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers program funding will positively impact more than 220,000 students across 73 cities and towns throughout Arizona. Three hundred sixty-eight schools received grant awards.

Established in 2016, the Fiesta Bowl Wishes for Teachers initiative grants classroom wishes to Arizona teachers in K-12 public and charter schools. These teachers often spend their own money for classroom materials and activities. Recipients of the grants are invited to attend the Guaranteed Rate Bowl where they are honored on the field at a halftime presentation. They are also invited to march in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl parade presented by Lerner & Rowe.

Since 1971, the Fiesta Bowl has been a world-class community organization that executes innovative experiences, drives economic growth, and champions charitable causes, inspiring pride in all Arizonans during and outside of college football bowl season.
