Mission
The function of Byrnes-Quanbeck Library is to support the teaching and learning that is central to Mayville State University. The library supports the University's mission by providing materials that guide students into realizing their potential and enhancing their lives. The library strives to promote Mayville State's vision by making the library an environment where each individual can find what he or she needs. The library joins in the University's purpose by sharing the resources with the wider community and by helping all patrons find their way through the information-rich world.

Policies
Patrons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Computing policy: Students, faculty and staff of Mayville State University have priority in using the public access computers at the library.
Those who violate the computer policies of either the North Dakota University System or Mayville State University, or who, in the judgment of the library staff, use the library's computer inappropriately will forfeit the right to use any computer in the library.
