The Comets fell to the Trojans by scores of 25-11, 25-20, 21-25, and 25-14.

Alyssa Clancy continued to provide MSU with an offensive spark by leading the Comets with 10 kills, but no other Comet recorded more than four on the evening. Abagail Anderson, Brianne Gebeke, Betsy Winkler, and Kacie Fortmann all had four kills in the match.

Defensive specialist Tara Thompson came up with 14 digs on the evening and Winkler had 18 assists, but it wasn't enough against a tough DSU attack.

The Comets will look to get out of their slump next weekend when they finally return home for a pair of conference games. MSU will take on Valley City State University on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and Jamestown College on Saturday at 7"00 p.m.

After playing five of their last eight on the road, the Comets will get a chance to hold court at home throughout much of the rest of the season. MSU plays 5 of its final 7 games in the friendly confines of the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse.

MSU is currently 8-13 overall and 1-6 in Dakota Athletic Conference competition.
