Game Summary

Morgan Bickell was tagged with the loss as Missouri Valley College defeated Mayville State University in the first of two games today at the Tucson Games.

Bickell gave up 7 hits and only one earned run in the contest.

Danika Giguere was 2-4 and Jessica Rico was 2-2. Lyndsi Maglish, Samantha Newman, Amanda Lara, and Laura Kolness had one hit each for the Comets.

"We really couldn't get too much going. We had a couple runners stranded here and there," head coach Melissa Majerus said. "We had a tough time adjusting to their pitcher. She had good movement and a good offspeed pitch and never really got bats going very well."
