About Mayville State

MSU Basketball Camp Information

Facilities: Campers will play in Mayville State’s newly-renovated Lewy Lee Fieldhouse and the MSU Wellness Center for instruction time and contests.

Residence halls on campus will be home to the players when they are not on the court. Meals are served in the cafeteria located in MSU’s Student Center. The Student Center also houses an indoor pool and a lounge area with a big screen TV, pool tables, dart boards and more. Concession stands selling snacks and beverages are open in the fieldhouse for part of the day and during the games at night.

What to bring to camp: Camp clothes, gym shoes, shorts, athletic socks, t-shirts, toiletries, swimming suit, towels, bedding and pillows. You will be provided a single-sized bed. Gym shoes should be broken in for maximum comfort.

Roommates: If you request a particular roommate, your registration forms should be submitted together. Every arrangement will be made to ensure you will be able to room with someone of your choice. Your roommate preference should also be indicated on your registration form.

Camp visitors: Parents and friends are encouraged to visit the camp. The instruction portion of the camp is during the mornings and afternoons. Game competitions begin at 5:45 p.m. each day. Award ceremonies are held each Thursday at 11 a.m.

Contests and Awards: You will compete against athletes your own age for special awards and trophies in the following events: One-on-One, Dribbling, Hot Shot, Lay-ups, Hustle, MVP, Defense, Most Improved. (Awards will be given to both boys and girls in each age group for Future Stars.)

Care of injuries: Each camp has a NATA certified trainer to help prevent injuries and to treat any injuries that may occur. Any injured athlete in need of medical treatment will be taken immediately to the MeritCare Clinic in Mayville. All athletes are required to be covered by their own family insurance.

Additional information: Athletes will be supervised 24 hours a day and are not allowed to leave campus. Athletes should be prepared for vigorous physical activity and are encouraged to have a physical examination prior to attending camp. Camps will be limited to 200 athletes.

Camp picture: Each week a camp picture is taken by a photography specialist. An 8x10 picture to remember the week will be provided at no additional cost to each participant.

Arrival/Departure: All campers will check in at the lobby located on the East end of the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse. Players attending the Boys and Girls camps should check in between 4-6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Check-in for Future Stars is 10 a.m.-12:45 p.m. on Monday, June 6. Campers will check out at noon on Thursday following morning games and the awards ceremony.
