DESIGN YOUR PROGRAM.

The Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts: University Studies is designed for students who wish to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program and develop a marketable degree within an abbreviated period of time. Upon completion of the Associate of Arts degree, students will have completed the Essential Studies requirement of a bachelor’s degree and the Associate of Arts degree requirements. All classes will transfer to a baccalaureate program at Mayville State University.

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

For this degree, students must complete a minimum of 15 credits in residence with a maximum of 15 credits for prior learning.  2.00 minimum institutional grade point average is also required.  Students must consult with their academic advisor in selecting electives that are most appropriate for the intended A.A. degree for transfer to a bachelor's degree. 

Mayville State online courses are available in a wide variety of academic areas including accounting, business administration; early childhood education; library media and information science; health, physical education, and recreation; math and math education; general science; English; special education; psychology; social science; and Spanish. 

AFFORDABLE

Mayville State University online and distance courses cost $337.25 per credit for tuition and fees (2023-2024), regardless of a student's state of residency.  Please note, tuition is subject to change without notice.  Financial aid is available in the form of grants and loans.  To see if you are eligible for financial aid, you first need to complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  When completing the form, list Mayville State University (Title IV code 002993) on your application.

TRANSFER-FRIENDLY

Coursework you previously earned from regionally accredited institutions will be accepted and applied to the A.A. requirements, Essential Studies, and electives as appropriate, regardless of the academic program in which you were previously enrolled.
