Join in the fun as we celebrate all the great things happening at Mayville State University.
Several Athletic Hall of Fame teams are marking anniversaries in five-year increments in 2021, and we're playing catch-up from last year, since homecoming was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. These teams include the 1955-56, 1960-61, 1995-96, 2004-05, and 2005-06 men's basketball teams, the 1961, 1965, and 1990 football teams; the 1976 softball team; and the 1970 and 1990 baseball teams. We'll be honoring Rich Dean, Cassie Leraas, and Jeremy Strand as they are inducted into the MSU Athletic Hall of Fame, and Richard Saxlund, Todd Olson, Curt Herman, Mark Frost, and Earl Larson as they are inducted into the Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame. Festivities are planned for the evening of Oct. 8.
New this year! The Distinguished Alumni and Distinguished Service Award recipients will be honored along with the Performing Arts Hall of Fame inductees at a brunch planned for the morning of Oct. 9. Receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award this year are Jane Bjornstad and Dr. John Lyng. Former Mayville State employees Jim Lyng (posthumously) and Becky Gunderson will receive the Distinguished Service Award. Performing Arts Hall of Fame inductees are Laurie White Nielson and Michael Lien.

All alumni are invited to start the day right with a delicious brunch and an opportunity to honor several distinguished Mayville State graduates and friends. Ceremony of Remembrance at the Military Honor Garden

Come and honor our alumni and friends who have served their country that we may live in freedom and that again there may be "peace on earth, good will toward men." The names of all who have been honored with plaques in the Military Honor Garden will be read.
