Mayville State University will offer swimming lessons for children during the months of May and June. Lessons will take place at the campus swimming pool, located in the MSU Campus Center.

Parent-child lessons (“Mommy and me” or “Daddy and me”) will be offered Thursdays from 5 to 5:25 p.m. from May 17 through June 28. A parent must be in the water with one child at all times.

Pre-school lessons (students older than three, but not yet in kindergarten) will be offered from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Thursdays, May 17 to June 28.

A session of kindergarten through grade 5 lessons (through Red Cross Level 6) will be offered from 6:05 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, May 14 to June 7 (Memorial Day excluded). The second session at this level will be offered Monday and Thursday evenings, June 11 to 28, from 6:05 to 6:55 p.m. The third session is offered late in June to students in enrolled in MSU’s Child Development Programs.

A Red Cross certified lifeguarding class will be offered on May 11, 13, and 20. You must be 16 years of age and an adept swimmer to participate.
