B.S. Elem. Education Degree Requirements

Mayville State’s Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education consists of courses in general education, the major, a required minor, and an information technology certificate.
Elementary Education majors seeking kindergarten endorsement must complete at least five semester hours of student teaching at that level. Elementary Education majors seeking secondary certification in another major area must complete at least five semester hours of student teaching in that major at the secondary level. Students seeking the Reading Credential must complete EDUC 351—Remedial Reading Practicum and EDUC 425—Reading in the Content Area.
Elementary Education majors must complete 36 hours of general education including COMM 110, ENGL 110, ENGL 120, GEOG 103, MATH 103, PSYC 111, SCNC 101 & 101L, and SCNC 102 & 102L, and a History course other than ND History.

Lake Region State College

Students can complete the following general education and program requirements at Lake Region State College. Some of these courses are also offered online through Mayville State.
