B.A.S. - Business Administration (Online)
The Bachelor of Applied Science degree (B.A.S.) is a flexible plan designed specifically to serve the needs of students who have completed any vocational-technical program and have earned an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree. A previously earned A.A.S. degree will transfer as a block and the students will complete 60 semester credit hours of a "capstone" type of program in Business Administration.
Program requirements include major courses and general education courses necessary to help the student meet career goals. Achievement of a Bachelors degree may remove promotion barriers two-year graduates sometimes face. The B.A.S. degree is also a value to individuals who want to make mid-career changes.
The B.A.S. degree consists of a minimum 120 semester credits-relevant general education, major, and concentration courses. the degree requires 30 credits from 300 and 400 level courses. The courses for the Business Administration major will be available online over a six-semester rotatated schedule.
With the assistance of an academic advisor, students will be able to tailor their programs to individual and career goals. Students can also apply for college credit from previous work experience through Mayville State's "life experience credit" procedure.
