| Description: | Now in its 5th year "Nights on Broadway" is a is a community/college chorus (ages high school and up) that gets together, practices for 6 weeks, and presents 2 performances of choruses, solos, and small ensembles of numbers from musical theater. This year's theme is "There's No Business Like Show Business." The main chorus numbers will come from musicals that have a show business theme, such as A Chorus Line, Annie Get Your Gun, Curtains, Gypsy, Sweet Charity, etc.
The performance on Friday, March 27 at 7:00 in the MSU Old Main Theatre will be followed by a dessert reception and singalong piano bar in the Luckasen Room. A matinee performance will be held Sunday, March 29 3:00 in the Old Main Theatre.
The purpose of NOB is to raise money for the MSU Theater and provide scholarships for MSU theater participants. Last year around $1600 went to scholarships for MSU students.
Rehearsals are Feb. 16 & 22, March 2, 9, 16, 22 & 24.
A children's chorus (grades 2-8) will also perform. Their rehearsals begin March 10.
