Assembly Process
Plan to arrive at the Classroom Building Auditorium at least 60 minutes before the official starting time to allow for the assembly process.
Since there are no secure areas to leave personal belongings, it is recommended that jackets, purses and other personal items be left with family or friends. Be sure to wear low-heeled, comfortable shoes since you will be marching and standing a good part of the day.
Upon arrival, all degree candidates should follow this procedure:
• Report to C-120, Classroom Auditorium at 1:00 p.m. You will receive your name card and a copy of the printed program.
• Line up and be ready for the processional 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony.
• The president will lead you from the assembly area into the Fieldhouse approximately five minutes prior to the beginning of commencement.
• You will be directed to your assigned seating and will remain standing until directed to be seated.

Commencement Etiquette
University commencement ceremonies are special events for all involved. If you choose to participate, please remain for the entire ceremony.
Electronic Devices
As a courtesy to those around you and to our graduating students, please turn off pagers and cellular phones during the ceremony. We also ask that you refrain from using extreme noisemakers.
Photography
Jacobson Studio of Mayville will take professional photographs of all graduates between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in Classroom Building room 116, which is directly across from the south entrance of the Classroom Building Auditorium (C-120).
In addition, a photographer from Jacobson Studio will take a picture of each candidate while receiving the diploma cover from the president during the commencement ceremony.
A few weeks after the ceremony, a proof of these photos and an order form will be mailed to each graduate. At that time, you may order pictures if desired. This service is provided to ensure quality photographs and to avoid the confusion of many individuals attempting to position themselves for picture taking. Jacobson Studio will also post pictures of the entire ceremony on their website a few weeks after the event.

Commencement Ceremony Broadcast
Mayville State University's commencement ceremony will be brodcast on the Internet. The broadcast will be live during the commencement ceremony, and the video will also be archived for playback at a later time. Good Grad Morning
The Alumni Association invites all graduates and their families to join them in celebrating with the new graduates in their first official alumni event, Good Grad Morning. The open house-style celebration is planned from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the MSU Campus Center Luckasen Room. A special program will begin at 12:00 noon. Relax with family and friends and enjoy light refreshments. All graduates will have an opportunity to win prizes. This event is provided compliments of the MSU Alumni Association.
Post Commencement Reception
The faculty and officers of the institution take pleasure in inviting the graduates, candidates, and their guests to join them for refreshments in the Luckasen Room of the Campus Center upon completion of the commencement ceremony.
