Estimated Annual Cost of Attendance for International Students
When a student is considering studying out of the country, one of the biggest concerns is the cost of study. The following link will give international students information on the estimated annual cost to study at Mayville State University. The form in the following link will also allow potential students to calculate their means of financial support for the fall and spring academic semesters.

Brief Description of Costs
- TUITION AND FEES:
- The tuition is the cost of 24 semester-hour credits (12-18 credits per semester). Fees include student activity fees, notebook (laptop) computer fees, and also technology maintenance fee. *Not included in estimate: first-year students are charged $35.00 for orientation activities and a student identification card.
- LIVING EXPENSES/ROOM AND BOARD:
- Room rates are based on a double room. If you choose for single occupancy, room rates are increased by approximately $250 per semester. Included in the fees are cable television, 24/7 direct internet, and local telephone services. A non-refundable room reservation fee of $50.00 is required each year to reserve a room and will be deducted from your fall semester room fee when you enroll.
- The board plan costs are for 14 meals/7 days in the main cafeteria; you may eat any fourteen meals at any meal time during a seven day period. Other meal plans are available. Meals NOT used during each week are lost.

- OTHER EXPENSES:
- Books and Supplies may be purchased at the MSU Bookstore or wherever the student chooses.
- Miscellaneous costs may include, but are not limited to, local and USA transportation, entertainment and recreation, personal care, emergency and other miscellaneous costs.
*Students who plan to remain in the United States during June, July, and August must provide an additional $2,250 for living expenses.
- North Dakota State Board of Higher Education policy requires all international students to have health and accident insurance from the time of their registration until completion of studies.
