Farmers Bowl 2010 - September 25

The Farmers Bowl is an all-day celebration sponsored by the Mayville State University Foundation. Many community volunteers and Mayville State supporters work together to present this event that honors the proud agricultural heritage of the area.

Farmers Bowl 2010 will be held on September 25. This will be the sixteenth annual Farmers Bowl. The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a parade featuring farm equipment, bands, antique vehicles, and floats. Immediately following the parade, there will be a free corn on the cob and hot dog feed held near Jerome Berg Field on the MSU campus. The Mayville State University Comets football team will play Black Hills State at 1:30 p.m. See the Comets volleyball team in action versus Valley City State beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse. The auction event will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a social and bidding on the silent auction at the MSU Campus Center Luckasen Room. An hors d’oeuvres buffet will open at 5:00 p.m. Bidding on the silent auction will also begin at that time. The excitement of the live auction will be unleashed at 7:00 p.m.

Join in the Fun of Mayville State University’s Farmers Bowl 2010!
Mayville State’s University’s Farmers Bowl 2010 is scheduled for Saturday, September 25. The annual day-long festival teams Mayville State University with a celebration of the region’s agricultural way of life. Highlights of the day will include a parade, corn on the cob and hot dog feed, football and volleyball games featuring the Mayville State University Comets, and a charity auction.

Joel Heitkamp to Emcee Mayville State University Sportsmen’s Raffle Event on September 11
KFGO radio personality Joel Heitkamp will emcee the fourth annual Mayville State University Comet Athletic Club Sportsmen’s Raffle event scheduled for Saturday evening, September 11, 2010, at the National Guard Armory in Mayville, N.D. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. The highlight of the evening will be the raffle drawing for 55 guns that will be given away, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The event will also include a variety of other raffles, games, and prizes. A cash bar will be available.

Original Artwork to be Raffled as Part of Mayville State University Farmers Bowl Auction
Plans are underway for the Mayville State University Farmers Bowl, scheduled for September 25, 2010. For the tenth consecutive year, artist and MSU alumnus Doug Anderson, Cavalier, N.D., has created and donated a piece of artwork that will be raffled as part of the scholarship fund-raising efforts of the Mayville State University Foundation in conjunction with the Farmers Bowl Auction. Mayville State graduate Kelly Morrison has donated the cost of framing the artwork.
