Music Department Holiday Madrigal Feast

The Mayville State University Music Department Madrigal Singers and Willington Winds will present their biennial Holiday Madrigal Feast on Friday, December 11 and Saturday, December 12, 2009. A social will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the feasting will begin at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held in the Mayville State University Luckasen Room.

Cost to attend the Madrigal Feast is $30.00 per person for an evening of Renaissance dining and entertainment. A limited number of seats are available, and tickets must be purchased in advance. Reservation deadline is November 25. Due to the nature of the menu for this event, it is imperative that reservations are received by November 25. To make reservations, stop by the office or contact the MSU Foundation at 701-788-4864 or alumni_mail@mayvillestate.edu.

Mayville State University’s Spring Semester First-Day Headcount Enrollment Is Up
First-day figures show that Mayville State University is experiencing significant enrollment increases for the Spring Semester of 2010. The first-day headcount enrollment was 717, a 2.6% increase over first-day headcount in the Spring Semester of 2009. This number reflects an 18.5% increase in full-time students overall, and a 66.6% increase in the number of new full-time transfer students, compared with the Spring Semester of 2009.

Open House Scheduled at Mayville State’s Coal-Fueled Heating Plant
The public is cordially invited to attend an open house at Mayville State University’s coal-fueled heating plant on Monday, January 11, 2010 from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The plant is located on the west edge of campus along County Road 14. Guests are asked to park in the lot on the west side of the building and enter the building there as well.

Traill County/Mayville State Luncheon in Mesa Scheduled for February 9
The annual Traill County/Mayville State University reunion luncheon will be held in Mesa, Arizona on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. The luncheon will be held at the Windemere Hotel and Conference Center, 5750 E Main St., Mesa. Socializing will begin at 11:00 a.m., and lunch will be served at 12:00 noon. Current and former Traill County area residents and Mayville State University alumni and friends are cordially invited to attend.
