Check Out Periods

bulletThe check out period is approximately eight weeks.  One due date is near midterm and one near the end of the semester. 
bulletStudents, staff, and faculty may check out A/V equipment.  The check out period for equipment is one week. 
bulletReference books, newspapers, and magazines are for in-library use only.

Interlibrary Loan

bulletPatrons needing materials not held by the Byrnes-Quanbeck Library may request them through interlibrary loan.  This service is free.  See the instructions on how to request an item through interlibrary loan.

Fines

bulletFines for overdue books are $1.00 per week or part of a week, not to exceed the cost of the material. 
bulletFines for overdue equipment are $1.00 per day. 
bulletFines for overdue reserve items are $1.00 per day. 
bulletFor lost materials, patrons will be charged the replacement cost plus a $5.00 processing fee.  If the item is found and returned within six months, the replacement cost will be refunded. 
bulletStudents having any overdues or fines will have a hold placed on their records and transcripts.

Renewing

bulletStudents, staff, and local patrons can renew borrowed items one time.  If you need it longer, contact a librarian.
bulletFaculty members can renew a borrowed item two times.  If you need it longer, contact a librarian.
bulletIf you need help renewing, please do not hesitate to ask a librarian.

Reserve Materials

bulletAn instructor may place materials on reserve.  Students may check these items out for a period of two hours.  Ask for items at the Circulation Desk.  Fines on reserve materials are $1.00 per day.  See more information on reserve materials.
