Your professor said he has placed a book on reserve.. What does that mean? What do you do?
What does that mean? A reserve item is in a special collection put aside so that you can be guaranteed access to it. Because so many people will need to look at an item on reserve, its check-out period is less than usual.
Our reserve items may be checked out for 2 hours at a time unless otherwise noted. However, you may check an item out overnight if it is checked out one hour before closing time and if it is returned within the first hour of the next day's operation. A fine of $1 a day will be applied if the item is overdue.
What do you do? Ask for the item at the front desk. Our reserve items are arranged by the last name of the instructor and the course title.
