The weekend of June 16-17 marks the 42nd annual Mayville State University Golf Classic. Activities are planned at Forest Hills Golf and RV Resort in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The Mayville State Golf Classic is the oldest medal play university golf tournament in the world and is open to all Mayville State alumni and friends.

A four-person scramble is planned for 10 a.m. Friday, June 16. This event is being organized by the Mayville State University Comet Athletic Club, and proceeds will go to athletic scholarships for Mayville State student athletes. Both men and women are encouraged to play. Those who participate will have an opportunity to win $10,000 for themselves, and $10,000 for Mayville State in a hole-in-one contest that will be featured! Presentation of awards will begin at 2:30 p.m., along with a meal for all participants.

The medal play golfing event is planned for Saturday, June 17. Start time is 10 a.m. Presentation of prizes begins at 3 p.m.

Also on Saturday, there will be a luncheon for all Mayville State women. The event will be held at the Izzo’s Sports Bar & Grill at Forest Hills, beginning at 11 a.m. Lunch will be no host, with attendees ordering from the menu.
