Mayville State University alumni and friends are invited to attend a social planned for Wednesday, May 24 in Fargo, N.D. MSU alumni Broc Lietz ('93) and Todd Olson ('91) are hosting a “Meet the Coach” event, where those who attend will have the opportunity to visit with Mayville State’s new men’s basketball coach Darren Tighe. The social will be held at Baymont Inn and Suites, 3333 13th Ave. S, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Birch Room. Light appetizers and a cash bar will be available.
Coach Tighe joined the Comets family in early April. He comes to Mayville State from Ridgewater Community College in Willmar, where he was head men’s basketball coach. He earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Minnesota State University Mankato.
