Mayville State University’s 2016 Farmers Bowl festivities will start off with the “Farmers Bowl Field Frenzy 5K” race around the beautiful and historic campus of Mayville State. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome. Race time is 8 a.m. Saturday, September 17. A majority of the fast out and back race course will be located on the campus, starting and finishing in front of legendary Old Main.

Registration fee is $20 per person. You may register at www.mayvillestate.edu/farmersbowl. The registration fee will be waived for Mayville State University students with official Mayville State identification. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Farmers Bowl fundraising efforts. A full day of activities is planned for Mayville State University’s annual Farmers Bowl celebration. A parade will make its way through downtown Mayville beginning at 10 a.m. This will be immediately followed by a corn and hot dog feed under the tent near Jerome Berg Field. The Mayville State Comets will take on the University of Wisconsin-Stout College in the Farmers Bowl football game, beginning at 1 p.m. at Jerome Berg Field. The grand finale for the day will be the Farmers Bowl Auction, which is held each year to raise funds to support Mayville State University and its students. The fun will begin with a silent auction and hors d’oeuvres buffet at 5 p.m. The excitement of the live auction will begin at 7 p.m.
