Services in the various areas of Academic Support are available to any student who would like to enhance his or her academic experience at Mayville State University. Services and resources include:

• FREE Writing Center appointments to work on writing issues from brainstorming to organization to editing

• FREE traditional study groups and individual tutoring

• Instruction in study strategies and test taking

• Supplemental Instruction (academic support program that utilizes peer-assisted study sessions)

•Computer-assisted instruction (ranging from basic skills to more advanced skill improvement)

• Counseling Referral

• Disabilities services for students with documented disabilities which can include, but are not limited to:   Extended testing time, testing in a quiet room, test reader, note-taker, scribe.

• Academic Workshops on note-taking, test-taking, test anxiety, time management, using technology to access information, study skills, learning styles, etc.
