The music department at Mayville State University has continued to make a steady growth over the past years. Our music department features the Concert Choir, Concert Band and Stage Band. Many students participate in both band and choir.
Band and choir concerts throughout the year include the annual Homecoming Concert, the Christmas Concert, a mid-winter Pops Concert and the annual Spring Concert. Every other year, the music department presents its Madrigal Feast, which has proven to be a big hit on campus and in the community.
The band and choir also participate in a one day spring tour where we perform at area high schools.
Music scholarships are available for both band and choir. |
Scholarships
All students participating in concert band and/or concert choir receive a scholarship. These scholarships are determined by the student’s Grade Point Average. Scholarships range from $200-400. Students who participate in both band and choir receive a scholarship for both performing groups.
