Welcome to Mayville State University!

The Office of Extended Learning exists to assist students with all their distance and online education needs. If at any time you have questions, please feel free to contact the Mayville State Office of Extended Learning by calling 1-800-437-4104 ext. 34763 or email at ExtendedLearning@mayvillestate.edu.

If you don’t intend to enroll for Summer 2012, please send a drop request to ExtendedLearning@mayvillestate.edu as soon as possible.

Use this basic checklist to make sure you have read through all the relevant materials, submitted the right forms and are logged in and ready for the semester to begin!  If you have any questions on getting started, please feel free to contact the Mayville State Office of Extended Learning.

£ If you have not yet done so, claim your NDUS User Account to access class schedule, financial aid and student charges at:  http://claim.ndus.edu/.  Click here for instructions on claiming your NDUS User Account.

£ Log into MSU Email by clicking the Current Student link on the Mayville State website at:  www.mayvillestate.edu.  Click here for instructions on logging into your Mayville State Email account.

£ Log into Moodle (where you will find your online classes) at:  http://lms.ndus.edu/course/category.php?id=5.  Click here for instructions on logging into your Mayville State Moodle account.

£ Purchase Books at Mayville State University Bookstore: www.mayvillestatebookstore.com. 

£ Beginning, May 17, review the Distance Student Orientation to get familiar with Moodle and navigating your courses: http://lms.ndus.edu/course/view.php?id=5569.

£ Review Reports and Policies at MSU Reports and Policies: https://www.mayvillestate.edu/about-msu/Pages/ConsumerInformation.aspx.

£ Review the Refund Schedule, Drop Processes and Important Dates by clicking here.

£ If required, submit the Online Proctor Form at least two weeks prior to your first exam

£ Contact and make arrangements for payment of tuition and fees with the MSU Business Office:

£ Degree Seeking Students:
Continue to work with your advisor to process any course substitutions, if appropriate, for your program of study. 
Please review the
Distance Student Handbook and “How Do I” handout for further information on getting started as a Mayville State online/distance student.   

Give your Mayville State email and Moodle access a test run beginning Thursday, May 17, 2012, and prior to the start of classes. Classes will be listed and available in Moodle beginning Monday, May 21, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. (Central).  If you have a problem accessing your courses after May 21 or have any other technical questions, please contact the Mayville State University Office of Instructional Technology at 1-800-437-4104 ext. 34645.

 

Please also take some time to practice Moodle and learn about being a Mayville State University Distance Student in the Distance Student Orientation course located within Moodle (MASU DSO--Distance Student Orientation).  This optional orientation is also available beginning Thursday, May 17, 2012, and will appear in your list of Moodle courses.  It is not required and there is no cost associated with the Distance Student Orientation.  However, I encourage you to take some time to work through the orientation. 

Payment of Fees

You will NOT be sent a bill. Students are required to access their account information online through Campus Connection. To do so, go to www.mayvillestate.edu and click on “Current Student” and then Campus Connection. If you do not know your Campus Connection username and/or password, call the Campus Connection Help Desk at 1-866-457-6387. Once you have logged in click on Campus Finances, then click on Account Summary by Term. The Balance for all Accounts is the amount due.  If you have financial aid, you can also view your Financial Aid Information and Award.  To setup a payment plan or if you have any questions regarding your financial account, please contact Danielle Johs in the MSU Business Office at 1-800-437-4104 ext. 4757, or email at Danielle.Johs@mayvillestate.edu.  All Summer 2012 semester charges are due paid in full by June 4, 2012. 

You will be responsible for total tuition and fees due, unless you take the steps necessary to officially drop classes by the established drop dates.  If you have any questions about dropping a class, please contact the Office of Extended Learning at 1-800-437-4104 ext. 34763.
